About the Practitioner

Aubrey Rockefeller, Licensed Massage Therapist

Since graduating from The New York Institute of Massage (Williamsville, NY) in 2008, my main focus as a massage therapist has been to educate the public about massage therapy and the crucial role it plays in overall health, but more specifically the health of the muscular system.

The study of muscles, movement, posture, and wellness fascinate me! I am in awe at how well we were created. While I love to have a client fall asleep on my table because they are so relaxed, my greatest joy comes from having a client tell me that they haven't moved better in months after one or two sessions with me.

Committed to expanding my knowledge about the human body and massage, I am constantly immersing myself in articles, books, and continuing education classes that will take me to the next level.

Some of the continued education I've been involved in include:
        *Thai stretching on the table
*Advanced techniques for low back pain
*Causes of and treatment for neck pain
        *Sports massage techniques

*Most common question I receive? "Do you receive massage yourself?" That is a definite YES! YES! YES!  Massage is a physical job, so I also need to be sure I'm taking care of my arms, neck, and back.
